Dago Salinas, from CLINSPEC Solutions–a SimX partner specializing in implementing VR education solutions–recently shared his experience working with SimX to incorporate the Michigan Appropriateness Guide for Intravenous Catheters (MAGIC) tool into SimX PICC and midline insertion scenarios with the University of Michigan Medical School.

WSU’s Virtual Leap in Veterinary Education

To celebrate Healthcare Simulation Week, Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Dean Dori Borgesson and Senior Development Director Lynne Harley stopped by their Vet Med Simulation Clinical Skills Lab to try out SimX for themselves! The case they ran was developed in partnership with the U.S. military to treat and care for military working dogs.

SimX Awarded New AFWERX Grant!

SimX has partnered with the U.S. Air Force to develop a new VR simulation training curriculum for elite medical personnel and other service members focused on women’s health. A press release describing the proposed project was recently released and highlights the University of South Florida’s (USF) anticipated subcontracting efforts.

SimX in Sri Lanka

SimX recently held a webinar workshop for healthcare professionals in Sri Lanka! This collaborative effort between the International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) and SimX was broadcast both remotely and live to two full auditoriums of students. Through discussions, demos, and a Q&A with the participants, this workshop explored how VR is transforming nursing and allied health education.
