De-escalation of Agitated Patient

30-year-old female named Eleanor is found in the community agitated and brought to the emergency department by EMS. Medical history is unknown. The RNs and APRNs will work together with an interdisciplinary approach to de-escalate the client.

Learning Objectives

– The intraprofessional (RN and APRN) team completes a focused assessment/physical assessment as able on the patient with agitation

– Learners demonstrate the ability to communicate with interprofessional team in high-stress situations

– The Learner safely chooses and or administer medications
