Susan Weil is a 76-year-old caucasian female. After sustaining several hip fractures, she was admitted to the medical-surgical unit for hemiarthro-plasty. Following surgery, the patient received a blood transfusion due to significant blood loss. During this scenario, learners must work with a rapid response team in assessing and managing care for a patient following right hip hemiarthroplasty.
