SimX Research

Innovation is our driving force! We harness the latest advancements in VR technology and simulation training to develop groundbreaking solutions that make a real impact.

From conceptualization to implementation, we continuously explore new ideas, build prototypes, and refine our approaches to ensure that our simulations and system features are at the forefront of industry standards.

R&D Outcomes

The SimX R&D team helps build the best patient simulations in the world! Most of the essential, core functionalities of the Virtual Reality Medical Simulation System (VRMSS) exist because of R&D efforts.

Patented Multiplayer

Each SimX scenario has multiplayer functionality for both co-located and non-co-located training groups. SimX is the only patented platform designed for multiple learners to work as a team in the same space.

Realistic Virtual Environments

High-fidelity virtual environments enhance pre-hospital and hospital-based scenarios. Alternate, outdoor, and austere environments are also available to reflect true-to-life trauma and emergency patient interactions.

Improved Platform Functionality

R&D has worked tirelessly to propose and plan essential platform updates to keep SimX running smoothly for online and offline use.

Cutting-Edge Tools & Procedures

The SimX R&D team of experienced clinicians and subject matter experts plans, proposes, and helps create new virtual tools and procedures to support each new scenario.

R&D Outcomes

Virtual Manikin

The SimX Virtual Manikin™ Series is a customizable collection of simulated patient encounters first ideated and proposed by the R&D team. The Virtual Manikin allows educators to select patient avatars, environments, and scenario outcomes to create thousands of unique simulated patient encounters with one simple and customizable tool.

SimX VALOR

The R&D team has worked on building various curricula in partnership with the US Air Force under the Virtual Advancement of Learning and Operational Readiness (VALOR) program. VALOR makes medical simulation more comprehensive, flexible, and accessible for military personnel. Developed with over $20M in DOD R&D dollars and now deployed at 50+ DOD units, the SimX Virtual Reality Medical Simulation System (VRMSS) enables high-quality, repeatable, and accessible training for realistic scenarios.
